The Aksu Zhabagly Nature Reserve, located a hundred kilometers East of Shymkent, has quite strict regulations which only allow access to its mountains to a limited number of visitors, who must be accompanied by a guide.
However, the surroundings of the reserve have also a great potential for very pleasant walks.
