Singular building of Shymkent, the Pyramidal Mosque is located in the SMU-4 area, 163 Gagarin Street.

The Pyramidal Mosque is a small private building, built in 2010 by a local businessman. Its name is officially Akbar Khojy Shakirbay, but it’s better known under the name “Pyramid” because of its shape.
The modern appearance of the mosque doesn’t alter its spiritual function, and the site also includes roses and rest areas.
